New Patient Journey

Your First Visit Explained

Our thorough 45-60 minute initial process ensures we get to the root cause of your health concerns.

01

Consultation

We sit down to discuss your health history, current concerns, and wellness goals. This is a time for us to listen to your story.

02

INSiGHT Scans

We use non-invasive technology (sEMG, Thermal, HRV) to measure nervous system stress and function objectively.

03

Examination

A physical assessment of spinal alignment and tension. In most cases, you'll receive your first adjustment during this visit.

04

Report of Findings

We review your results together and present a personalized care plan tailored to your specific neurological needs.

What to Bring to Your First Visit

  • Comfortable clothing — wear something you can move freely in. We will be assessing your range of motion and posture.
  • Your health history — any relevant medical records, imaging, or notes from other providers. This helps us see the full picture.
  • Your questions — write them down! We set aside time to answer everything so you feel confident about your care.
  • For kids — bring a favorite toy or blanket. Our office is kid-friendly, and we want your little one to feel safe and comfortable.
FAQ

Common Questions

How long is the first visit?
Plan for 45-60 minutes. We take our time to listen, scan, examine, and explain everything. Follow-up visits are typically 15-20 minutes.
Do you accept insurance?
We are an out-of-network provider. We can provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Many HSA and FSA plans cover chiropractic care.
Is chiropractic safe for babies?
Yes. Pediatric adjustments use very gentle, sustained fingertip pressure — about the same pressure you'd use to test a ripe tomato. Most babies relax or fall asleep during adjustments. Learn more about pediatric chiropractic.
Can I come during pregnancy?
Absolutely. Dr. O'Brien is Webster Technique certified, specifically trained for prenatal care. We have pregnancy pillows and a table designed for comfortable adjustments at every stage. Read about the Webster Technique.
